Northwest Demolition was hired to formulate a dismantling work plan for the removal of pilot plant components at a remote lithium mine in Northern Argentina. The site had significant challenges due to the extremely remote location and the elevation of more than 12,000’. This project work was part of an effort to ready the site for a production phase of the lithium mine construction expansion. The work plan involved a sequence of activities, logistics and a method for dismantling for local contractors to follow as a process. Subsequent to the planning phase, Northwest Demolition was retained to provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) oversight of the dismantling process to advise the selected contractor on plan adherence, safety and day to day production management.
