Northwest Demolition was contracted the Army Corps of Engineers and the North Wind Group for the demolition and removal of 20 wooden and 3 steel WWII-era warehouses, totaling over 440,000 square-feet. During the demolition process, a large volume of the old growth timber was cleaned, removed, prepped, and sold to buyers throughout the country. As a result, Northwest Demolition was able to provide a cost saving to the client, and ultimately reduced the amount of waste generated from the project. In total, 72,698 board-feet of old growth timber was reused from site. The project was completed on schedule and budget, without a single recordable or lost time incident.
